Summary |
"La Calma" Verano de 1978, Isla de Tenerife.
Un accidente deja malheridos a dos adolescentes : Bruno
y Juan, y a una mujer: Úrsula. Han transcurrido
muchos años
y el pasado, parece muerto cuando en realidad solo está dormido…
En la actualidad, la isla está en alerta de erupción.
Bruno, afincado en el extranjero y cineasta de naturaleza,
recibe el encargo de filmar un documental sobre lo que
está ocurriendo en la isla. Una vez allí,
Bruno vivirá el despertar de algo más que
un volcán…
"La Calma" Summer of 1978, island of Tenerife. An accident
leaves two teenagers, Bruno and Juan, and a woman, Ursula,
badly wounded. Many years pass: the past seems dead, but
in fact it is only sleeping…
In the present, the island is on volcano alert. Bruno,
who lives abroad and is a nature documentary film-maker,
is commissioned to make a documentary about what is going
on the island. Once he arrives, Bruno will witness the
awakening of other things which, like the volcano, lay
dormant… |

Miguel
G. Morales nace en 1978 en La Orotava, Tenerife. Estudia
cine y T.V. en Madrid y San Antonio de los Baños, La Habana.
Ha trabajado durante 9 años en T.V. especializándose
en programas de entrevistas y programas culturales. Al
mismo tiempo ha ido desarrollando su carrera cinematográfica.
En el género documental se ha acercado a la generación
canaria vinculada al Grupo Surrealista de París
con títulos como “aislados. La esencia de
un espíritu”, “Maud. Las dos que se
cruzan” sobre la artista francesa Maud Bonneaud, “Monsieur
Domínguez”
sobre la obra del pintor surrealista erradicado en París
o “En el ala del sueño. Juan Ismael” sobre
el otro gran pintor surrealista de Canarias. Otros títulos
documentales son “Al Silencio. Cristino de Vera”
o “El Viejo y el Lago”. Ahora termina su séptimo
documental y ultima la Pre-producción de su primer
largometraje de ficción: “la calma”

Miguel G. Morales was born in la Orotava,
Tenerife, in 1978. He studied Film and Television in Madrid
and in San Antonio de los Baños, Havana, Cuba. For
9 years he has worked in television specializing in interview
and cultural programmes, while at the same time he developed
his career as a film maker. As a documentalist he has approached
the Canary Island intellectual generation linked to the
Paris Surrealist Group with “Aislados, la esencia
de un espíritu” (“Isolated: the Essence
of a Spirit”), “Maud. Las Dos que se Cruzan” (“Maud.
Two who Crisscross”), about the French artist Maud
Bonneaud, “Monsieur Dominguez”, about the work
of the Canary Island artist who lived in Paris, or “En
el ala del Sueño. Juan Ismael” (“On
the Wing of the Dream. Juan Ismael”, about the other
great surrealist Canary Island painter. Other documentary
titles are “Al Silencio. Cristino de Vera” (“To
silence. Cristino de Vera”) or “El Viejo y
el Lago” (“The Old Man and the Lake”).
He is currently completing his seventh documentary and
reaching the end of the pre-production phase on his first
feature film: “La Calma” (“The Calm”),
produced by Volcano International Films S.L.
